What is efiling?
efiling means submitting the court cases and related documents electronically/online through the official ecourt portal and also need to submit the original petition before the court after listed your case.
After completing the e-filing process, the applicant should vist the jurisdictional districts court and check with the court registry to confirm whether the online filed case has approved or not. If the online filing case is not approved, the registry of the court will inform about the objection to the applicant through email and Sms.

- Step one, Visit the official website efiling portal, open the official ecourt efiling website of the concerned court.
- Step two, Click on the Register, choose New registration
- Step three, Select the user types, Select whether you are, Advocate, Litigant in person, Department user,
- Step Fourt, Enter basic details, Full details such as (Full Name, Mobile Number, Email ID, Present Address,)
- Step Five, OTP Verification, an OTP is sent to the registered mobile number and email ID, enter the OTP to verify.
- Step Six, Create login credentials, Set User Name and Password. After successful registration, your E-mail profile created and you will received user ID and password on your mobile number and Email ID. (please do not share OTP, User ID and Password.
- Step Seven, Set Username, and Password, After sucessfull registration, your efiling profile is created
- Step Eight, process on the ecourt efiling website, enter your username and password, complete OPT or Captcha verification. (The dashboard show all your file case status, draft, status updates.)

- Select your court and Jurisdiction and choose state name, district name, and court establishment.
- Choose your cate category and case type (select civil or criminal, specific case type lie suit, appeal, writ, etc.
- Enter your parties details properly (fully details of plaintiff/respondent address, and content details)
- Advocate/Lawyer details (if applicable enter advocate/lawyer enrollment number and name.
- Case information (enter the cause of action, date of the cause of action, relief claim and jurisdictions facts.
- Upload the documents (upload the index, main petition/Plaint, affidavit, annexure) Note Documents must be in PDF format, clear and readable, within size limits,
- Pay the court fee online (court fee can be paid through the net banking, debit car, credit card and UPI) Payment receipt is generated instantly.
- Final Review before submission (recheck all the details carefully if ok then click on final submit and a diary number/filling number is generated.
What happen after the online filing
After submission, the case allot to the department of the registry for the scrutiny.
The registry check the documents, court fee, jurisdiction, case type, formatting rules, section of the case, heading of the case, format of case and signature of the client and advocate verify etc.
If defect raised by the Registry the defects are show on the portal and user is given time to correct them and document can be re-uploaded online.
After approval and registration the case number is allotted and the registry given admission hearing date after or before one week. The applicant and advocate/lawyer should reamer that the original copy of the petition/suit is mandatory to submit in the court at the item of the admission hearing.
